Cache Valley goes Viral
Announcing the Social Media Club of Cache Valley
LOGAN, Utah— “Get it, share it!” at the Tweet-up on Sept 13 at 6:30pm at Element. The Social Media Club of Cache Valley is a newly formed organization looking to educate the public on the usefulness of the internet and social media. Its goal is to help the valley see that social media is not just a fad by helping them to overcome their fear and understand what social media truly is. That it’s a productive tool in today’s world.

“The worst thing an individual can do is be silent in today’s world. Social Media Club of Cache Valley is an opportunity to get your voice out there and heard through outlets unknown to you before coming to one of our meetings.” President Preston Parker said, “The point of the club is to help people use social media.”

Founded in August of 2009, the Social Media Club of Cache Valley is a place for students and community members to learn about the benefits of social media in an environment that is non-threating. It currently houses 170 members. The SMC is the second of four Utah chapters, on a global scale.

  1. Very nice. I like that you began with talking about the "tweet up" but maybe it would be a good idea to talk about the open meetings, aka "tweet ups" for those who are interested. But the whole thing sounded great over all!

  2. I really liked your heading! The only thing I would change is to move your first sentence of your lead to the end and lead with the second one. Also I saw two minor mistakes (SMC should be SMCCV and another hyphen should be after ###). Other than that I thought this was one of the best ones I read. Very concise and informative. Good job.
