Cats and Dogs: PR and Advertising
According to Richard Bailey cats are like public relations for a variety of reasons: they're good verbal and non-verbal communicators,they are grateful, they have an agenda, they don't compromise quickly they are dependent but act independent, and they are in his words "charming". I have to agree though I am more of a dog person; to be successful in PR one has to act like a cat. We have to be good communicators without giving in too quickly, we have to know that we are dependent on the company but that we can work independently to accomplish goals within the organization and lastly we have to be charming!
